How to Quickly Fix Rundll32 Error

Many computer users get the infamous RUNDLL32 error eventually. A random pop up appears saying something like “the specified module could not be found” or “the application failed to initialize properly”. These types of messages are the tell tale sign of a RUNDLL32 error. If you have ever wondered what a RUNDLL32 error means, why it happens, and how to repair it, the answers are not as complex as you think.

rundll_errorRUNDLL is actually a system process that maintains the speed and efficiency of a computer. It is a DLL file in the Window’s registry that allows a computer to store and retrieve information.

A computer’s registry runs the system but it can also get corrupted causing errors such as the Rundll32 error. These errors are very common because all computers eventually accumulate left over information in their registry that is not a functioning part of any program.

When you install new programs, remove old programs, or modify programs on your computer small bits of information are left behind in the registry. If the registry is not properly maintained it becomes filled with redundant and corrupted information which causes a RUNDLL error when the computer comes across this erroneous information. The computer can have a hard time finding the information it needs to make programs function properly because the program may point to information that is corrupted. When a computer cannot find the information it needs in the registry a RUNDLL32 error is generated.

A RUNDLL32 error can cause lots of problems. Error messages that pop up at different times are at least annoying and also decrease your CPU performance. These errors cause your computer to freeze, crash and can even cause the infamous “blue screen of death.” Your computer may also run slow because of a RUNDLL32 error. Programs may not function properly or run at all because your computer cannot find the necessary files need to operate it.

Fixing a RUNDLL32 error is easy to do with registry repair software. Trying to fix a RUNDLL error on your own can be tricky because if you remove or damage the registry it can cause severe damage to your computer. The registry needs to be cleaned and all erroneous and incomplete information removed to stop RUNDLL32 errors from occurring. If you scan your computer with registry repair software it will detect the problems in your registry and safely remove them.
